Very much looking forward to it as are our players.  The Nash Amblers and Bees both had a much better time of it last month and as such both are vying for a measure of success. It can  be a roller coaster  though and margins are tight  so we'll see. Goals are extremely hard to come by, and once you go behind there's not much time to get back in it.

Hoping winter weather will behave itself and we can all have a great day as this well organised competition reaches a climax. Thanks for your efforts in getting the fixtures out well in advance.

ARD German TV are filming a news item 'The Growing Popularity Of Walking Football' at the Greater Manchester Walking Football Over 60's League on Friday 1st December at the Heywood Sports Village.

The producers seems particularly keen to interview Fleetwood Town Flyers player Derek Spence. Derek, a former Northern Ireland international, played alongside George Best in the green jersey and made 29 appearances for his country, scoring 3 goals.

Derek also played for Blackpool, Olympiakos and Sparta Rotterdam, amongst others.

Here's the video of the ARD German TV coverage of our final session of the Greater Manchester Over 60's Walking Football Autumn League in December. Unfortunately most of the commentary is in German and won't translate. The relevant article doesn't make a lot of sense either but have a look anyway.
