    6. Walking Footy on ITV News

      By Mark Blythe, 11/15/2017

Walking Football was on the ITV 6pm News showing how the benefits can help fight Type 2 Diabetes amongst other challenges caused by inactivity.
The West Ham United Foundation Walking Football Team enjoyed their usual Tuesday session with the cameras all around. Apologies for the distractions to the referee and the occasional jogs that the players got away with, we know how hard it is when we're trying to score! Players of all ability and fitness levels are very welcome, the social and health benefits are the most important to WHUF. Free Tuesdays and Saturdays 10-11am at Flanders Field, 118 Napier Rd, East Ham E6 2SG. Contact Darryl on [email protected] for more info.

    8. Play Fair with 30% off Fairtrade Certified Footballs

      By Bala Sport, 11/13/2017

Looking for good quality ethically made balls?
We're a Glasgow based community benefit society set up to provide a fairer deal for sports ball workers in developing countries through Fairtrade.
Our footballs are made and tested to the same specs and standards as FIFA balls.
We do futsal balls too and are the official match ball of the Scottish Futsal League.
We would like to offer walking football clubs 30% off all our balls (accept our ball & bag packages which already have  a 30% discount applied).
Play fair with high quality balls (our Team, Pro and Astro footballs are all hand stitched) and ensure that the workers who made them get fair pay, work in safe conditions with access to union representation, and receive an extra 10% Fairtrade Premium, which they invest in social development projects like free eye tests and free school books and backpacks for their kids.
Check us out at www.balasport.co.uk and email us to get the 30% discount. We provide the balls for the Homeless World Cup and support United Glasgow FC the refugee team.
