  1. Looking for good quality ethically made balls? We're a Glasgow based community benefit society set up to provide a fairer deal for sports ball workers in developing countries through Fairtrade. Our footballs are made and tested to the same specs and standards as FIFA balls. We do futsal balls too and are the official match ball of the Scottish Futsal League. We would like to offer walking football clubs 30% off all our balls (accept our ball & bag packages which already have a 30% discount applied). Play fair with high quality balls (our Team, Pro and Astro footballs are all hand stitched) and ensure that the workers who made them get fair pay, work in safe conditions with access to union representation, and receive an extra 10% Fairtrade Premium, which they invest in social development projects like free eye tests and free school books and backpacks for their kids. Check us out at www.balasport.co.uk and email us to get the 30% discount. We provide the balls for the Homeless World Cup and support United Glasgow FC the refugee team.

  3. This is a cross post from a topic: Bala Sport Fairtrade Footballs We'd like to introduce ourselves to clubs and venues. As a walking football player you will know all about the importance of respect for players and fans that the FA and SFA etc are keen to encourage. Well Bala Sport, the only UK based maker of Fairtrade Certified footballs takes that respect further - to the workers in developing countries that make that crucial piece of the kit, the ball. We make sure that the men and women who make our balls get a fair deal, fair rates of pay, work in safe conditions and get access to union representation. They also benefit form the Fairtrade Premium, and extra 10% cash sum we pay them and which they invest democratically in social development projects. These include free eye and diabetes tests, free, safe transport to and from work, free school books and backpacks for their kids and water purification plants. The clean water facilities provide free, safe drinking water anyone in the community, not just workers as they are built outside the factory gates. Our balls are not just about changing the lives of the workers that make them, but about quality equipment for you. Our Team, Astro and Pro balls are all hand stitched for durability and made and tested to FIFA equivalent standards. Bala Sport balls were chosen by the SFA as the ball of the Bank of Scotland Midnight League, and are the official ball of the Scottish Futsal League. The Homeless World Cup was played with Bala Sport specially developed Astro balls. We can offer clubs and venues special discounted rates on all our balls and can even make customised balls (minimum order 50).
