        1. This is to inform you of an exciting opportunity that your team may be interested in being involved with. On the 8th February 2018, a walking football festival is being held at Goals in Leeds. The festival is partnered alongside Leeds United Foundation and Goals and will include 8 teams from Leeds and the surrounding areas. The winners of the festival will also have the chance to represent Leeds United in walking football, which we believe to be an extremely exciting opportunity for your team. The festival is also for a great cause as all proceeds made on the day will be going towards our chosen charity which is Leeds United Foundation’s Corner Flag Café at Elland Road. This is an initiative to support people diagnosed with early dementia. There will also be a number of high quality prizes to be won on the day alongside food and refreshments which will be provided by Goals. The event itself will also be shown on a number of media outlets. If this is something you believe your team will be interested in please get in contact with us and will we go through the event in more detail. 5. Please share on social media to help raise awareness if you get the chance. Thank you in advance. Matthew Chapman, who is only 3 years old has an undiagnosed condition where he can only move his eyes now. Matthew was developing as expected until he was 15 months old when he started to deteriorate and now needs constant care. Mum Victoria Chapman, who is a sport and physical activity manager at 1Life in Sleaford, said "Matthew was fine until 15 months old and then all of a sudden he unfortunately lost all of his skills and after a period neurological regression, they are still looking for a formal diagnosis. He is still a medical mystery. He struggles day to day and needs specialised equipment. He needs a specialised pushchair, he needs help with feeding, changing, and day to day. But he has not lost any of his personality. He is non-verbal. He doesn't have any words and he uses his eyes. He has got an eye tracking machine that he uses to play games on it. He smiles and laughs, and comes out with noises. He was starting to pull himself up and it stopped when he was 15 months old and we don't know the reason why. It was like he forgot how to crawl and he started to regress on vocals and speech." Sleaford over 55 Walking Football Club will be holding a six hour non-stop walking football match at 1Life in Sleaford on October 29. 3, Oakside Park Industrial Estate, East Rd, Sleaford NG34 7EH Kick off is at 11am. They are hoping to raise around £1,000. Those who would like to donate are asked to visit the centre during the event. Stephen Morgon from Sleaford Walking Football Club said, "Victoria just happened to mention that Matthew had this problem and that it was very difficult to buy specialist equipment that isn't provided by the NHS. So some of the lads said let's come up with something and decided to do a football match."

Since the fund was set up in 1993, mortality rates have fallen by 30% and over £23.5 million has been raised, but there is still so much more to do. There will also be additional fundraising events taking place on the day to help raise as much money for the Bobby Moore Fund as possible including a raffle to win an England shirt signed by Gareth Southgate.
