        3. Barnsley Pals were formed in January 2015. We are a group of 20-30 ranging in age from 52 to 77 who play at Barnsley FC Academy (next to the ground at Oakwell) All welcome - both sexes and all abilities. We play friendlies (even incorporating a tour of the ground if required) and also have a team that plays in the Sheffield and Hallamshire league on Wednesday afternoons once a month.No age limit Our sessions are Monday 12.00-13.00 at Barnsley College (Honeywell site) and Wednesday 12.00-13.00 at Oakwell in the Academy Gym (or outside on 3G pitch if the weather is OK) There is also a session on Fridays at Oakwell which is dependent on numbers who say they are available on the Wednesday. Cost is £3 per session. New players welcome!

        5. Walking Football is available under the Get Active programme that is run by Adur & Worthing Wellbeing. Walking Football is a version of the game to encourage senior players to get back involved. As the name suggests, the player movement is slowed down; but the tempo of the game remains. The fun sessions are coached by fitness instructors to alter the level and speed of the game for your group. There have been many positive reviews about the sessions. With all involved saying that it has improved their fitness; but it had also introduced them to some new friends.           Sport North Tyneside run a free weekly community walking football session at The Parks Sports Centre. It’s a standard game of football where players walk instead of run. It is also a great way to get fit and an opportunity to meet up with others. After the full time whistle you can also enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee. The session happens every Wednesday, 2:00-3:00pm. Can't make that time? Don't worry we also run a Walking Football session at Hadrian Leisure Centre on Thursday, 6:00-7:00pm.           WALKING FOOTBALL arrives at The Healthy Lifestyle Centre on Abbotshall Road, Catford, SE6 1SQ. Walking Football Sessions will be FREE and run on every Monday 18:30 - 19:30. Sessions are aimed at everyone and will be included as part of our free fitness programme called Active Lifestyles For ALL.

          At Schools Plus, we have some fantastic facilities for hire, all for sporting purposes. Are you still searching for a home to run your walking football sessions?           Reminder that we are starting a brand new Walking Football session in conjunction with Murieston United Football Club, starting from Wednesday 26th April 2017. Aimed primarily at over 35’s, both male and female, but there is no age limit ... and it’s FREE. Session's will run on Wednesdays from 10am to 11am, followed by tea or coffee for all participants at Murieston Community Football Club’s 3G pitch at Bankton Mains Sports Facility, Murieston, Livingston. Walking Football has became huge with many venues popping up over the country and we wanted to get involved! It allows keen footballers who perhaps aren't as mobile as they once were to have a game and also help their fitness levels! If you haven't played or even heard of walking football don't worry a full briefing will be given at the session, however, it is just like a normal game of football except... you cannot run at all during the game!
