  10. More Walking football -- a slower version of the beautiful game! Chelmsford Walking Football http://www.chelmsfordwalkingfootball.co.uk Walking Football was initially designed to help get the over 50s back into football and exercise, our teams average age is 64. The main differences between standard football are the two rules of no running, no slide tackles and limited contact. Players do not bounce like they did in the past!!! Play the game you love but reduce the chances of injury. It's a great way to keep fit, learn skills, have fun and socialise all at the same time! If you think your footballing days are over then think again! We are now called Chelmsford City Walking Football with the support of Chelmsford City Football Club http://www.chelmsfordcityfc.com/ So, if you used to play football but now find the pace a bit too much or if you've never had the chance to be involved before, walking football is the perfect introduction to playing football for people aged 50 years and over, no age limit!!!! All the rules are the same but with one big difference, you can only walk -- no running, no sprinting, just walking. Any infractions are penalised by free kicks Deep down, are you still dying to play? A popular means of keeping fit, learning new skills, having fun and socializing! Never too old to play! Non-contact sport! The social aspect of the session as important as the game itself For further information or to join us at walking football email [email protected] or visit the website Chelmsford Walking Football http://www.chelmsfordwalkingfootball.co.uk
